These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GRIT platform (the "Service"), operated in the Arab Republic of Egypt. By creating an account, registering for a tournament, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create a GRIT account. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, including registering for paid tournaments. By using the Service, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts & Registration

Accounts are created via one-time-passcode verification sent to your phone number or email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. GRIT is not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

5. Intellectual Property & Prohibition on Data Extraction

All content on GRIT — including but not limited to rankings, player statistics, tournament data, brackets, design, logos, and software — is the property of GRIT or its licensors and is protected under Egyptian Law No. 82 of 2002 on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights.

You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, mine, or otherwise extract data from the Service— including player rankings, statistics, tournament listings, or any other content — through automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers, or similar tools) without GRIT's prior written consent. Unauthorized access to, or extraction of data from, GRIT's systems may constitute a violation of Egypt's Anti-Cybercrime Law No. 175 of 2018, and GRIT reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including reporting violations to the competent authorities.

6. Sponsor & Third-Party Content

GRIT may display sponsor logos, advertisements, or links submitted through our sponsorship request process. GRIT reviews and approves sponsor content but does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the products, services, or claims of any sponsor or third party.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, GRIT and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to disputes between players and organizers, injuries sustained during tournament play, or losses resulting from payment disputes between users. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

8. Termination

GRIT may suspend or terminate your account at its discretion if you violate these Terms, including for fraudulent payment activity, harassment, or unauthorized data extraction. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, subject to our data retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
